Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long-Term Care office nurse position focusing on assessments, medication management, and service plan updates, requiring a MN RN license and dementia training.
Responsibilities
- Work in a long-term care facility with 62 assisted living beds and 16 memory care beds
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Patient ratio is approximately 1:20
- Role includes office nurse responsibilities such as conducting assessments, medication management, and service plan changes
- Floating may be required in rotation with permanent staff, according to experience and facility policy
- EMR system used is Eldermark; experience preferred, R-task (Ridgeway) experience strongly preferred
- May be on-call 24/7
- Free parking on site
- Responsible for initial and ongoing face-to-face resident assessments and developing or updating care and service plans
- Supervise and provide training to facility staff members
- Engage residents using the Aspire 5 pillars of wellness: Social, Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Spiritual
- Office nurse duties may include monitoring resident services and medication management
- Scrub attire is solid black with closed-toed shoes
- First-time travelers are considered for this position
- Locals are accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
- Facility uses badge system (Kronos) for time tracking
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
- Dementia training and medication pass experience required
- Must be comfortable in a true LTC and assisted living environment
- Eldermark and R-task (Ridgeway) EMR experience preferred
- Must be willing to work with cats and dogs on premises
- RTO requests must be submitted with initial application; post-offer requests will not be considered
- Cannot take every holiday off
