**Job Title: Welder Day Shift**
**Job Description**
As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding tanks and other industrial equipment using blueprints. Your primary tasks will involve 90% welding, including GMAW (some metal core), and 10% other duties. You will also be required to perform fitting tasks once you become familiar with our processes and procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Utilize blueprints to fabricate and weld tanks and other industrial equipment.
+ Perform 90% welding tasks, including GMAW (some metal core).
+ Engage in fitting tasks once familiar with processes and procedures.
+ Ensure welds meet D1.1 standards.
+ Conduct structural welding using flux core, stick welding, and MIG welding.
+ Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience as an industrial welder.
+ Proficiency in flux core welding, including 3G and 4G positions.
+ Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of basic welding symbols.
+ Experience with fitting and some stick welding.
+ Structural welding experience is highly desirable.
+ .045 diameter wire welding experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in manufacturing and fabrication.
+ Ability to work in a dirty, industrial environment with loud metal clanking noises.
+ Comfortable working in confined spaces and climbing ladders.
**Work Environment**
This is a 1st shift position, with hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Our company has been manufacturing water and fuel tanks, coal haulers, bottom-dump trailers, and equipment transports for 40 years, serving construction and mining industries worldwide. You will work indoors but may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including cold, heat, or wet environments. The work environment is dirty, industrial, and noisy, with tasks requiring work in confined spaces and climbing ladders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
