Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a Metals Manufacturing team and help cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with potentially dangerous equipment. Knowledge of different types of metal and their properties is essential.

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a Metals Manufacturing team and help cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a steady hand, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with potentially dangerous equipment. Knowledge of different types of metal and their properties is essential.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings, take measurements, and plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on job requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications
- Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding
- Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces into position
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to detect any flaws
- Maintain equipment in a safe and operational condition
- Proven experience as a welder
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (e.g., TIG, MMA, etc.)
- Proficiency in using electrical or manual tools (e.g., squares, calipers)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to wear protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and dexterity
- Proficiency in English
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
- Professional Certification (e.g., AWS welding certificate) is a plus
- CWI or CRAWL certification is highly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
