**Job Title: Welder**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for custom welding conveyor systems using MIG welding techniques. Starting with a blueprint, you will gather the required materials, tac weld the parts together, and then perform MIG welding. Following the welding process, you will grind the parts to a smooth finish.
**Responsibilities**
+ Custom welding conveyor systems using MIG welding techniques.
+ Reading and interpreting blueprints to determine materials required.
+ Tac welding and MIG welding parts together.
+ Grinding welded parts to achieve a smooth finish.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in MIG welding.
+ Ability to fabricate and weld components.
+ Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.
+ 2-5 years of recent experience in a job shop environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Attention to detail.
+ Strong problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a fabrication shop specializing in manufacturing material handling systems, including airport conveyor systems. The shift is from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 6:30 am to 10:30 am on Fridays, with optional overtime on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
